Learn how to move and appreciate your body through the graceful art of belly dance. This beginner class is taught in a fusion style with instruction that includes precise movement breakdowns, drilling the basic Egyptian moves, and integrating movements through basic choreography. Belly Dance Basics is a judgement-free zone where self-criticism is not allowed and all bodies are welcome! You are not required to show your belly or perform the class dance if you do not wish to do so. Please wear tight fitting clothing so you can easily see your movements. You can dance barefoot, with ballet slippers, dance paws or any other appropriate footwear. Socks are not permitted.
